Hmm, Yes, i think, we have 2 fantastic Coder who have code a Player
(FastTracker,ProTracker,Screamtracker).In 1-2 weeks we releasing a Music-Disk
with this Special Player…(sorry for my bad english)

can anyone give the name of a good sample-editing program, that
doesn’t cost as much as Samplitude?

It should at least do the following:

- allow you to edit several tracks/samples at once

- filtering

- support for both 8 and 16 bit samples

If you can tell me, that there is no way around Samplitude, please
let me konw that as well.

Can anyone recommend a good 8 channel Music editor which is NOT Octamed? Some
years back there was a proggy floating around called Oktalyzer…
anyone had any success running it on 3.x machine…as far as I remember it
crashed even on ECS machines with 2.x – thing is that it had the BEST ‘editor’
a tracker can have so I’d really like to get it run on A1200.
Any help appreciated!

Well, I only post this article to talk about a new soundtrack creator. Its
name is Music Line Editor, and is edited by a swedish compagny called
MusicLine.

Most of you will say "Another tracker, but what’s new in it?". Many yhing
in fact, first of all, it is really system friendly. Then, it has either 4
or 8 voices, but the 8 voice mod has rather good replay quality. It also
uses samples, or wave samples (256 bytes long samples used as a base for
synthetic sounds): you can put an ADSR on looped sample (kewl for strings,
you just take the loop and do your instrument), and there are many real
time effects for the synth sounds such as Phase shift, mix, transform,
realtime filter, and realtime resonance. You can also save a sample from
your synth sounds as they  really sound great and not like a c64 tune or
pseudo synth sounds on ProTracker. I even made some filtered bass sounds
that were as good as mini moog samples. The only thing that could be added
would be a noise generator in order to make some synth drums…

The sequencer is a bit like Future Composer’s one or Sonic Arranger, which
gives a better optmisation of the track data (realtime transpose etc) and
you can put five effects at once on each tracks.

This is the best Tracker have seen for a while (since Sonic Arranger) and
if you see the preview, take it, you will be amazed (should be on major
public domain sites). You’ll get a registered version for approximately
$30, and the programmers are really cool
