Re: Turning a sample into a Mod

Hi,
I have a number of large samples which would like to play using my
nice multiplayer tracker/ mod player. For example, I’d like my X-files
sample to play in the background just like my other ambient type mods.
One solution to do this is to create a mod in Octamed, load in the
sample, as an instrument, turn it into a looped sample, and just play it
once as one note. But when I try to do this, octamed seems to stop playing
the sample after about .25 of it’s length
If you resample the sample an octave higher (and of course play it an
octave lower) using the sample editor you will "fix" the problem with
Octamed cutting off the sample.
Easier solution: Use Delitracker II, I believe it will play samples.

Digital Aesthetics
Does anyone have Digital Aesthetics, an emod program from a while ago? I seem
to have deleted the registration form after sending it in, and after nearly
half a year, have yet to receive any indication that I’ll get what I paid for.
It also seems to have been removed from AmiNet. Hm, wonder why?
If anyone can give me a pointer to the author, even an email address if poss-
ible, I’d be greatly appreciative…

A while back somebody posted some information about 14-bit samples, e.t.c.
Could somebody post it to me?

manual. And basicallly sezs have fun and good luck!

GUS and Amiga project
I wrote earlier about this, it would be possible to
use Gravis Ultrasound with A2000/3000/4000 with Golden Gate
bridgecard if somebody writes drivers.. Any interested people?
I would be quite interested to make the "ultrasound.device"
or "ultrasound.library". What kind of functions there should
be in the lib/device?

Linking 2 Amigas via midi? Help!!!!
I’m trying to link up an A1200 and an A500 via midi using Octamed V3 Pro.
I’m using the A500 as the master and the A1200 as a slave. The reason is
so I can use the extra memory and channels on the 1200!
The problem is : No matter how I try, I can’t seem to change what samples
are playing on the 1200. The 500 sends instrument change info but the
1200 doesn’t seem to respond to the instrument changes. It only plays the
instrument that is current selected on the 1200.
Here is the setup:
A1200 Recieving midi on all channels.
Instr 1 [contains sample] midi preset 1.
instr 2 [contains sample] midi preset 2.
A500 Instr 1 [no sample] midi chan 1,midi preset 1
Instr 2 [no sample] midi chan 2,midi preset 2
When the A1200 is on inst 1,I send instr 1 or instr 2 from the 500 I only
get instr 1 on the 1200 playing.
Can anybody help me. I’d really like to use Octamed and not some other
package ‘cos I really like using it.

JVutils: Get patches & perfs. from your JV-80.
Hi!
If you own a JV-80 and an Amiga, you might like to know that I made
2 small utilities that you can use to download patches and performances
from your JV-80. The archive is called "JVutils.lha" and can be found
on aminet in the mus/midi directory.
For the other way around I did not make a utility, because you can simply
copy the patch to "ser:".

Symphonie Demo
Has anyone had any luck with this? I tried the old one, in German,
and couldn’t get it to budge. The new demo requires OS3.1, which I
don’t have. I’m wondering if anyone has used this and gotten good
results, and if it has to be used in interlace mode (they say 30khz- I’m
assuming that’s interlace).
